Reminds me of a story my father-in-law told. In 60s, his family lived in a white SoCal suburb. A dispute arose over the property line with his adjacent neighbor. It seems his newly paved driveway may have been 1 inch over the line. When the dispute got heated, his dad put up a "FOR SALE - NEGROES ONLY" sign in the front yard. He then went to South Central and hired some black folks to knock on his neighbor's door to say they bought the house next door, put out trash and malt liquor cans in the front yard. Eventually tempers cooled and the dispute was resolved.
