This is what I found interesting.

Quote:
How much money has the US spent in the Middle East?

According to a Congressional Budget Office (CBO) report published in October 2007, the U.S. wars in Iraq and Afghanistan could cost taxpayers a total of $2.4 trillion by 2017 when counting the huge interest costs because combat is being financed with borrowed money.
Does that cover this cost of the involvement after the wars, the need for Homeland Security, the 9/11 costs, etc?

Under Reagan and Carter, the US armed Bin Laden. If they had not. No 9/11 and all the rest. The US needs to stop getting involved in wars when it has no clue of the outcome.

Imagine what $2.4 trillion could have been spent on or just not borrowed and given to those ig corporations that make so much profit out of war.
