lol, if Assad would be killing "ordinary people" on purpose, he wouldnt stand almost 6 years like he already is and he wouldnt get any public support at all...
military would get rid of him.
my estimates are that around 30-40 % of Syrians support Assad, around 30 % various opposition forces (including Daesh) and 30-40 % dont support noone, as they want to live in peace and be left alone. so yeah, their choice would be Assad and syrian government too as sign of stability.
2011 "democratic" revolution with "peaceful" protesters throwing flowers...er.... grenades at police and army has been long time ago hijacked by various jihadist groups
my friends visited Syria in 2010, they loved this country, too bad that now in 2016 there is no such country anymore
