about three years ago,yes i tried and did one for myself. I don't know why but i hated it.
first of all a full dark room is needed.no candlelight! you have to flip your tv upside down, and after flippin before turning it on you have to wait between 1-3 hours depending on how old is your tv not to get green faces!but it is OK if you do it one time only and fix it like that.
If you need subtitles for some non-english movies, they're flipped horizontally, too. practically you need two mirrors two get the text right! or put the tvprojector back to your big screen where you project it (not behind the wall of course.!

)or some different tecniques!!
and blah blah blah the curse goes on and on!!!
I threw them away all including my good old sony tv! there happened some green and red lines crossing the screen and never gone!
Then i prepared myself to spend some bucks to go for something else...
An lcd screen in front of a big lamp...! like a real lcd projection in big ratios!!! they really WORK! but then it would be so hot that when you were watching a movie you had to cool the room with a fan or airconditioner!!! and that was way too much noise.! and the project was too big to fit in my room... hehe i skipped it and luckily found a bankrupt company selling their goods... and bought myself an old but used for only a 100 hours crt projector for only 500 USD. !!
from that day still watching at least 6 movies a day and i know it'll go for moooore years as they have at least 10000 hours to fade and about 25000 hours to die totally... yes it is like a dead donkey in my living room!!(big and heavy) and still needs total darkness for the optimum quality as they are 600-800 ansi lumen(not much like the lcd projectors, but i'm not presenting a slide show or something!!) but the picture is crisp, clear and more important the colors are right(flesh tones totally rock)(and the black is BLACK!)...
what more can i say thanks for the bankrupt company... hehe i'm not sad for them... they sold me the toy of my life! for nothing(500bucks, if you go for the real ones begining from 15k to 45k USD brand new, 4.5k to 8k for the second hands if you can find the right one as they're usually beaten to death in the hands of the big companies...!
wow... i feel like writing...
