Those days never left, they are just more consolidated. Instead of watching lesbians fuck each other with dildos, you are now in a fancy club together, having some champagne or a nice vodka while a huge name DJ plays some music.
Instead of hallway chair races, you eat a $90 steak at Mastros and drink a martini while talking about how much traffic you wish to sell/exchange/buy.
The make-up of our conferences are very different but the business is there more than it ever has been, there is just such a huge gulf now between the big business deals and the little guys that not many people are actually aware of a lot of what is going on. Business is still about who you know, actually knowing WHO you should know is the challenging aspect of the internet business in 2016.
