But who will take up the mantle of being the best damn critic the USA has ever had? You can't let everything you've built fall into the wrong hands. Will your successor take care to notice and magnify every single flaw? Will they endlessly post about every perceived slight? Will they sedulously fail to ever mention anything the USA has done well? I worry that the reputation for unceasing and energetic criticism that you have carefully built here on the internet might not flourish in the hands of any less devoted deprecator.
