It's more important to be fair, honest, and consistent. At least for me. Webmasters know that if I make a link to them it won't be taken down next week (unless they take down mine - trust, but verify).
To me "nice" means that if I catch someone cheating I'll send a polite letter asking them to please stop. fuck that. I catch a cheater they are banned without notice. They know what they're doing. Fuckers.
