What happens in Washington DC has very little effect on middle America. It doesn't matter if we have Bush, Obama, Clinton, or Trump in the Oval Office - I still have power to my house, Internet, water, and they pick up my garbage. While I'm one to agree that state/local officials have more impact on your day to day lives there is a difference.
Bush put thousands of American soldiers lives on the line in 2 wars. Obama for the most part got us out of those wars.. sure the aftermath is still in question but it's not our troops doing the dying..
If McCain had won over Obama you can damn sure bet he would of tried to put us in Iran. That guy is a war monger like no other.
Now with Hillary or Trump honestly I think both will likely start a war...
