Western Countries fighting wars in the ME and expecting to make life better is the equivalent of banging one's head against a brick wall and expecting it to fall.
The ME is still a tribal society with one tribe brainwashing its people to kill the other tribe. With the oil, it makes the situation worse because the rulers can incite the sheep to go grab another countries oil. If there were no oil, the West wouldn't care. The list of genocides the West ignored is long. Which of those countries has oil or any very valuable resource?
Let them kill each other and stand back till the winner is announced and use money to bring them over. This should have been done with many countries the US insisted on getting involved in. To what benefit to Americans?
