A disruptive business model or technology provides solutions in existing markets or creates new markets which render existing products services and businesses obsolete.
Trump does none of that.
He sits on the side calling names and pandering to the insecurities and fears of your average Joe.
And thats the problem with the average Joe. He is fucking average. Life has not dropped Joe into a fabulous Job, with a beautiful wife, Joe's life story is not sung by David Byrne. Of course Joe wonders where it all went wrong and Trump gives him a focus for his dissatisfaction.
Trump is doing the easy but - pointing out that life for Mr average is not that fucking great. Well no shit.
Life is nasty brutish and short. Trump does not get any prizes for working that out. Unfortunately neither does he offer any solutions. Its easy enough to put the blame on minorities and foreigners. Easy enough to castigate the political elite for failing poor old Joe.

US consumers like their German and Japanese cars. They like their electronics built in Asia, and they certainly like it all at the right price.
US industrial output is 4 times the size it was in 1960, yet it employs 1 third of the people it did at that time. That is why Joe does not have any job security. The Jobs have not gone to Mexico or China, the jobs have been lost to technology - and is Trump going to squeeze the Genie back into the bottle ?
