I'll actually be looking closely at the House and Senate races than the Presidental race. I'll be curious to see how it goes. In the last election Congress had an approval rating of somewhere near 10% yet they saw a more than 90% reelection rate. I'm curious to see how it goes this time around. If people are really willing to buck the status quo they should also then be willing to vote out their sitting representatives and/or Senator.
What I hope he does is show others that they can run and that they don't have to be part of the big political machine to do so. If this election or the next one show some movement towards getting the lifelong politicians out of the House and Senate I will give him credit for getting the ball rolling. That said, I have always said that a lot of people talk a good game, but aren't really ready to play the game. They say they want change, but when it comes down to it, they don't really want change and won't vote for it.
