Once again: go look at the map. Almost all population of Russia is located in the big cities (big = over 500,000 inhabitants). Villages in Russia are literally dead. The young population has escaped from them many dozens of years ago. Only babushkas and old alcoholics live there. I don't want to say it's good, but that's what we have. The so-called economically active citizens don't live in villages, simple because there is no money and no future.

Russia did not steal anything. It took only its that property which was located on its own territory. The oil and gas fields are mostly located in Siberia and North Russia. Who should Russia give those sites to and why, if they always been Russian? The only thing that Russia did "stole" from all the ex-Soviet countries is the Soviet international debt. Yes man, Russia has paid it all from its own pocket. The debt of all the former republics, including the Ukraine of course. Russia is not Soviet Union, but it has paid all the owned money in full.
