It happens constantly. If you are a high ranking government official and you leave office the odds are you will be offered a lot of money by a lot of companies to come work for them. They are paying these people for access.

Hillary was doing just that. At the time of this email, she was a civilian so there is nothing illegal about what she did. However, if it comes out that she did these things while she was Sec. State that is illegal.
I get what you're saying. But I would feel the same way if cheney was running instead of clinton. He would not get my vote either. For some naive reason I want my president to be above that. For some reason I just feel like $12mil for one meeting goes a little beyond what an expowerful government employee would make and more in line with buying a future president's favor. Again, I may be really naive and it is ok for someone with POTUS aspirations to be selling their time this way. I think we all know that after Obama ran his course she was next in line. I am sure the Moroccan King had heard there might be a chance someone could talk her into running in 2016.
