He hadn't actually announced he was running for President. He gave $100k a few days later to comic relief. Does that mean the joke is on everyone?
Also it says in your article "The payment was first reported by Think Progress and was listed in a compilation of donations the Trump Foundation gave to the Washington Post." Does that mean WAPO was part of the ruse? Or did WAPO do something for the Trump Foundation and in return received donations in their name in return? Which would mean they selected where the money was going?
