Here in Canada I will always prefer an Uber picking me up over a cab for 5 reasons: 1) I feel safer in them than cabs 2) The cars and the drivers are 200% more pleasant to deal with 3) The chances of them taking you on longer ride/give you the run around for a higher fare is very low 4) No pressure for tips from drivers; no bitching because you're paying with plastic 5) cheaper fare for the same distance (unless Surge is on)

Overall Uber is awesome and I will take an Uber any day over a taxi if I can
