This has been an interesting study into American society. Someone with zero experience tried with a very poorly ran political campaign and fell flat on his face. Trump has a small base of hardcore supporters who really believe in him, but the only reason Trump is doing as well as he is doing is because there is a portion of Americans who have a "deep hatred" for Clinton and also because some Republicans will always vote Republican. I bet if Trump was running on a third party platform and not as a Republican, he would be a distant third.
I don't understand people who vote their party platform no matter what. You might agree with the platform, but the platform does not always pick the right person. McCain and Romeny were good candidates, and perhaps even worthy of being President. But not Trump. Not but a longshot.
