Anyone looking for logic, common sense, decent writing. Isn't watching Walking Dead. Get past the fact that zombies are fiction it's clear the rest of the writing is nonsense.
Watch bear Grylls for an idea how modern man would starve to death if they had to hunt and grow their own food. Even guns would be a minor advantage.
Also if the group was captured and turned into slaves, the leaders would be the first put to the sword. No point in keeping the biggest badasses alive to lead a rebellion.
