Trump's campaign was basically a marketing ploy to unemployed suckers and white people scared of being overrun by brown people. It worked. Donald Trump was always running for president of whatever room he was in at the time.
Not only does he have to actually do something now instead of making empty promises, but he also needs to grasp the nuance of diplomacy and walk the razor's edge of leading without making global enemies. Nuance is not something he's going to be grasping any time soon. He's a sledgehammer in a world that needs a scalpel.
