Honestly I'm not trying to "troll" you. It's just I've heard several people like you getting worked up over this United States election and I just can't figure any of you out.

Greetings..
There are all kinds of reasons. First, we're on your border, and what affects you affects us. But on a less selfish level, most of us Canadians are a fairly tolerant bunch. The memes about us being friendly, peaceful etc, are real. That's not to say that some of us aren't idiots and racists, but for the most part, we're pretty chill. So when we see something someone like Trump running, and then actually winning and winning, we pay attention.
We get that lots of Americans wanted change, felt ignored, etc. What we don't get is how he ran and won using an endless barrage of insults.
Cheers!
