Off topic: I lived in Columbia South Carolina from 1989 to 1992 and Maurice's BBQ was fucking AWESOME.
They used to sell his mustard based BBQ sauce at grocery stores as well until the flag controversy destroyed his family business.
Personally? I would have just taken the flag down if I had been Maurice. He really didn't prove anything by fighting over it.
But his restaurants were some of the best Carolina BBQ ever...
