Aleppo is in Syria, in the Russian sphere of influence. This is a Russian problem. The United States cannot go in do what it wants. The Russians have to handle this, and they are - in their own way.

Historically the Russian military is utterly brutal. They are not overly concerned about civilian casualties, at least not to the extent the Western World is.
