Actually it is true in the same sense as Trumps situation. It's little known. There was a Historian who focused solely on Presidents on PBS the night of the election talking about it. I'll have to dig him up (if I can figure out his name) to see if he's written anything about it online. I remember him talking about President Cleveland (I think) who had a really young wife who had a lot of animals so they technically lived in a farm house not far from the capital.
