Paul's advice about TV shows is spot-on. While customers like hardcore porn, they also fantasize about ongoing relationships, real or not, with their favourite models. TV-friendly and PG content really helps nurture this kind of thing.

Good post Paul!
The problem here is so few understand anything. Reality shows SELL. Hot girls SELL. Porn SELL. Knowing who the girl is will SELL the membership.

A lot better than giving away the scenes on a Tube or writing a blog thay has nothing to appeal to surfers.

D'oh!

It's not the price-point. It's the VALUE for the price. Value can be quantity for sure, but it's also about quality, and, get ready for it, emotional satisfaction.

Think about it like this: A customer wants to jerk-off to the model(s) he likes of course. So then, why does he like that model? Sure it's her tits and ass, but it's also her face, and her personality. Don't discount this. People may connect based on looks, but they stay connected thanks to personalities. If you can fulfill all of these desires, the total value of your content to your customers (or more specifically, to your models fan base) is now worth more.
Some people here have no clue on how to sell porn. How many of those trashing the idea can do it?
