Drove through a student area near an esteemed university in a major Canadian city today. Saw a piece of paper tacked to a light post that had in big bold letters at the top: "Alt-right = Nazi. No fascism in Canada." Then a bunch of smaller text below it that I couldn't read from the car window.

I have to wonder - what twisted reality is this person living in that nazism and fascism are somehow part of the dialogue? Where exactly are these nazis and fascists and what exactly are they doing?

I never see anyone claiming to be a nazi or a fascist but I do quite frequently see people openly supporting communism and bashing capitalism. And these self proclaimed communists tend to act more and more like the fascists they pretend to be so afraid of.

Strange times we live in. Strange times indeed.
