That flag taking down is one college. That is an extreme case. If it were a rash of colleges across the nation it would be a different thing. There are incidents happening, but they have always been happening we just know more about it now because of social media, the internet, and the 24 hours news cycle.
As for the country being racist. I already answered. On a scale on 1-100 with 100 being the worst, I think the country is about a 60 on the scale.
