Regulatory disenfranchisement.
I pay county property taxes and state income taxes in one of the counties affected. A recount would cost less than $2 or $3 in tax money per voter. So, my vote is not worth $3 of my money -- Fuck them.

Your vote was accounted for, apparently multiple times.
If the recount continued as you wish then your vote would not have counted because of "faulty machinery" So which is it? Do you want your vote counted or not?
