My contact at Die Welt says he was indeed sentenced to 16 months in prison and the sentence was "put to parole"

This actually jives with my German reporter friend who tells me that Fabian was co-operating with authorities in regard to Manwin/MindGeek in order to avoid jail time and explains why it has taken so long for him to be adjudicated.
