If you read the article, he pretty much got kickbacks from various states for opening up shop there. Every state does this - every big city does this - every smart business owner seeks it out.

Reason is Libertarian trash anyway, but it's interesting that they don't understand that the government is also a big player in a market economy. If you don't know how to operate a business in the real world, that's ok - others do.
