I already went to dnb.com There is no listing for US, Inc under Washington DC. That is why I asked you what state you think "US Inc" is incorporated in.

You forgot to quote the phrase immediately prior...which is: "As used in this chapter:"
Which means, the US is treated as a corporation for that specific chapter only (CHAPTER 176 of Title 28 –Federal Debt Collection Procedures.). Not in all aspects of its existence.
