Father Mulchahy on M*A*S*H, played by William Christopher, died today of cancer at 84.
He wasn't a huge celebrity but played an iconic character for 11 seasons back when people watched regular TV. I was a huge M*A*S*H fan, and still watch it from time to time today. I thought he was a great in that role, and was one of the few characters who lasted the entire TV series.
