No...it's called clicking an attachment in your email and getting a virus.
Everyone knows NOT to do that.
It's on a laptop owned by the Vermont Utility.
It hasn't even been revealed in news reports what the "malware" is.
It could be as simple as advertising malware that throws pop ups on you. And yeah it could be something much worse too.
That's why we all have anti-virus programs running on our computers. Which is probably how they saw that they had a virus.
This isn't "black ops". It's just a laptop with a virus. And a lot of drama.
Is the electrical grid a big target? Hell yes it is.
Did Russia target some employees company laptop (it could belong to the janitor for all we know) in God-Forsaken Vermont of all places to bring the United States to it's knees?
Highly unlikely. But it makes for great fear-mongering on CNN for sure.
