Let's look at it like this.
Trump said outright he was not going to release his tax returns. Fair enough. There is no law that says he has to do this and he was willing to take the risk of catching shit for it.
Now, let's say a hacker got into Trump's computer then leaked online 10 years worth of Trump's taxes. In said taxes we find out that Trump isn't worth nearly as much as he says he is and using a series of loopholes and rules/laws he has been able to avoid paying any income tax over the last 10 years. He hasn't broken any laws, but that would look very bad.
So, say this information was released a few weeks before the election and it caused Trump to collapse in the polls and lose the election.
Are you cool with that?

See, this where I run into a conflict.
If someone hacked and released Trump's taxes right before the election.... I would love it. I mean I would have a hard on for weeks. However, if there was a criminal act involved I would want that person to go to jail. In fact, I believe it is illegal to post a federal tax return anywhere unless it is yours.
No matter how we look at this, someone was hacked, information was stolen, and this information was given out with the ONLY intention of altering an election. Period. Not only has a crime been committed, but it's obvious this was intentional to change the course of the election.
I hope Trump walks into the Oval Office on day one and says "Shut the fuck up bitches" to the intelligence agencies.... And then watch them dump take down Trump with leaks and hacked emails.
