Goddamn it, I was just about to make a "What was the last great book you read" post
Anyway for me it was definetly "The Shining". The movie gave it FAR more crediblity and hype than it desereved IMO. It wasn't frightening or psychologically disturbing at all - thought it was a snooze tbh.
