I don't flat bench since about a year and a half ago, but I was putting up 225 for 10 reps at 180 pounds bodyweight.

I switched to incline because building a bigger upper chest is what gives your pecs that armor plated look. I was building up the bottom too much and it was starting to look like I had tits. Sixteen months of incline pressing fixed it. Not saying flat bench is useless, but I was mostly using it as an ego lift, when I should have been developing the upper pecs instead. Now I don't even focus on chest that much....all about putting up bigger numbers with the standing overhead press.
