To shoot great porn in VR might just work. Assuming a company can sign up enough to justify the costs. For instance, if it requires twice as much money to shoot a site has to increase it's sales/retention every month.
So it will only be a handful of sites able to afford it.

My very point,

doing it well is where the costs are and I am NOT talking yet about content itself. Just the crap laying around, the "fish eye" distorted effect of cheap cameras and the erotic effect of a box on your head, after all, many couples watch good porn togheter to get inspired....;)
