    Do you really make money with VR ?

    Hi guys.

    VR is the big deal nowadays but beside the fun of this new technology, Is there really a market with which you can make money, right now?

    VR headsets are very expensive, mobile headset sucks, and the market is very small anyway.

    All those who had announced a VR product have postponed their plan or even no longer exist.

    I'm interested in your insights and thought on this. I truly believe that VR can be huge but not necessarily the way it's started.

      what do you expect for answer? yes, vr sells, go sell it! if someone cannot afford to buy headset, he cannot afford to buy pornsites anyway and the market is big enough and there are still sites that are in progress so far i know, did not hear about postponing or canceling vr project, who was that? have luck and have a nice weekend everyone

              Mobile headsets don't suck that much, they work pretty well for VR porn even the $10 cardbox ones gives a pretty decent VR porn experience.

              Some paysites give away a free cheap headset when you join, it works pretty well.

              I am testing a few of them and they do get sales

                      The best headset for VR porn movies is actually a mobile one.

                      Gear VR is only $50-$70 extra for the owners of the Galaxy S6/S7 phones. In the S7 launch promos, you could actually get them for free.

                      (This applies to movies only, for games it's a different story.)

                              For high end mainstream maybe, for cheap porn it will go the way of 3D ( a big hype about 4 years ago..) In my view it will be dead by the end of the year...

                              If nobody believes it just recall the 3D craze of 2011. I cannot sell you swamp land in Florida but two high end 3D video cameras.... For cheap All porn was to be in 3D by 2012.

                                  that is a pretty weak comparison. 3d never really took off for a reason, it was kind of terrible and used technology from the 60's with the red and green lenses even. VR involves much higher quality video shot specifically for it and equipment that is very popular and quite affordable compared to the 3d tv was. There is also limited content for it right now so headset owners are scouring the internet for anything new to view it with. Affiliates have been asking for more isolated markets that isn't just more of the same, this is a perfect example of that and it is a growing market. Wankz VR is killing it, and we aren't the only ones.

                                      Hey more power to you and maybe you are right, but with VR ( or 360 view) you need to get rid off all the crap, cables,lights, crew and their gear, never mind the dirty kitchen, snoozing grandma in the BG etc...etc.... For a proper VR ( aside sitting somewhere with a box over your head), you need a fully adapted studio or location and green screens to hide the shit and then plate something suitable in it.... Not cheap....but what the heck do I know,maybe folks will not care if a dog is licking its balls in the BG while in the FG somebody is fucking, so good luck.

                                      Also it was easier for a couple to fuck wearing pair of glasess ( while watching some sexy 3D porn) then sitting there with a milk carton on their heads watching VR.

                                                                      To shoot great porn in VR might just work. Assuming a company can sign up enough to justify the costs. For instance, if it requires twice as much money to shoot a site has to increase it's sales/retention every month.

                                                                      So it will only be a handful of sites able to afford it.

                                                                      Now factor in Piracy and free VR on Tubes.

                                                                              Don't ignore piracy. Older viewers might be less drawn to VR and more likely to pay for porn. Younger viewers are brought up on piracy.

The conversions are fantastic and we have raised our monthly price from $29.85 to $39.95. Not something we would do if the product wasn't selling. We offer no discounted join option.

                                                                                                                                  Headsets and the necessary computer are expensive, but the price is coming down fast.

                                                                                                                                              1. It goes the way of 3D. Extra equipment to watch a porn vid is extra equipment, regardless of quality, and many who want a quick wank won't bother with it. Plus, it takes more computing power etc that most won't pay for - and what about viewing it on mobile? Bring your headset for a quick wank in the bathroom! No thanks.

                                                                                                                                              2. It does ok in the beginning (as all fads do) then fades in a year or two. Not gone completely but a tiny fraction of the overall market and Producers/Webmasters will have to crunch numbers to see if it's worth the extra effort.

                                                                                                                                              3. It becomes "the norm", or part of the norm. Meaning, it's now expected the way HD/4K is becoming expected. Remember, in a few years we'll all have chips in our bodies and be part of The Borg so interfacing with VR will BE "reality".

                                                                                                                                              The next barrier is tactile reproduction. Get the user to wear gloves or a condom-like thing on their dick so that it FEELS like he's touching tits, pussy etc and actually getting fucked. Then it's game on! Til then....meh.
