It hurts Apple short term but foxcom the Chinese manufacturer is out of business while Apple rolls on.
China companies do not own the products they are making, they are middle man labor.
China has not developed companies that own their bands, they produce parts and pieces. They don't have companies like Apple, IBM, Microsoft, Levis, ect..ect

i agree with a lot of things you say but you have no idea what's happening in China
just for a start: Apple is only like 30% of Foxconns revenue. It would hurt them if Apple left but it won't kill them
and many Chinese companies have very deep pockets to buy western businesses and akquire knowhow they might be lacking
