Fail to plan, plan to fail.
If you have some system in place for making mad money, keep the domain registered for years in advance. Talk to a lawyer about a trusted individual who can come in and keep things going in your absence.
Had SR done this there would be somebody renewing the SSL certificate. The domain wouldn't expire until 2026. Somebody would be mapping shit out and the lawyer would be paying this person from the accounts they were instructed to take over. Not to mention, the lawyer would then be looking for what in the fuck happened and making sure family is being taken care of.
