Not afraid to admit I watched the Mary Tyler Moore show growing up...and before that the Dick Van Dyke show, too. She had an amazingly talented cast on the Mary Tyler show and it was damn good writing, too.
Rip Mary. Good long life. Now you can go slap Ted Baxter around some more.
