And it's going to get worse. The midterms have 8 Republican seats up in the senate and the Democrats have 23 seats. The republicans are worried about one of those seats, the Democrats are worried about 9 of their seats. Dude You have no clue as to what went on to cause the rise of state level Republicans. It goes back to the Bush era. Karl Rove is the person you need to be on your knees sucking his dick. Rove was the tactician behind this, that realized if they held key states by 2000, they could have an unfair advantage for many years to come at the state level.
He was the grand wizard who realized if Republicans controlled certain states at the Governor level they could dictate state politics for many years to come, by Gerrymandering the fuck out of those states.
It was not Obama's fault, but rather a very shrewd and undemocratic plan by Karl Rove which the GOP was able to follow to the letter. This is the end result.. Trump losing the popular vote by 3 million votes and still wining the election..
That was not Democracy in action, it was 10 years of gerrymandering and blocking people's right to vote which came to fruition under Obama's admin because all the cards in the deck had already been stacked.
