I buy a lot of stuff online due to my remote location. Mostly Amazon, and i am noticing that there are more and more fake reviews.
This site ( Fakespot.com) seems to have some sort of verification algorithm that helps weed out the fake reviews. I tested it today on 20 or so items i was about to order and 5 are flagged with more than 50% faked reviews. They also have a site where you can add the item you are looking for and a list of trusted reviews for a number of products appears. (
Trustwerty | Home)
Now i am sure they are out to make $$$$ and like any site its also possible this may also be fake reviews but it does seem to weed out the customers who give 5 star reviews and only have 1 review in their history which is always suspect. Maybe it can sort out the fake Chump news from the real
