This is a typical imperial logic - kill everybody who you "afraid of". Also why do you think that Chinese people don't like their regime? As far as I know it's not much different to South Korean or Japanese ones. They all have Asian specific which is not always clear to us - Europeans or Americans. But this is not a reason to start a "liberation" genocide with napalm and nukes.
On the other hand, China is our key partner. It's a huge source of our wealth actually. You don't start a war against Canada or Mexico, right? Why should we start it against China?
