Personally, I've gone through coup d'etat, few wars (and witnessed psychological and sociological effects on the population) and a watched things Muslims are capable of doing that you probably never could even imagine people are doing. Otherwise, I think you would have a different opinion. Some of those things, I've tried to post here but were threatened to be banned for posting images of that nature. Obviously, people were not interested to investigate further on the subject as you are suggesting that they should.
In my case, I am trying to get as much data as possible if I am interested in some subject. So in my bookmark, I have American, Russian, Chinese, local and even Iranian news ( and I can spot a clear difference and a message behind the same news, depending on a source). This is just a response to your advice about getting news from more sources.
To put it in short. You people there are still well protected from what Muslims are bringing with them. From that point, the world must be looking different.Can't blame you. There were many who were using the same logic and thinking that it is possible to assimilate them long term. Near my place, there is a spot where middle east migrants are coming on their way in further illegal penetration in Europe. All I can say is that there is no normal person who would love to see them as neighbors or coworkers. |
I'm glad you use many trusted news outlets as your preferred sources. It is also handy to keep an eye on the nutjob sources out there, to see what they are spouting to their rabid followers.
It sounds like you've been through a lot of political shakeup in your lifetime. That's good experience to advise people who are looking at the possibility of the same in the States. Do you honestly believe that the Muslims being allowed into the States as the very slow trickle of highly vetted refugees were going to be a problem down the road? Would money not be better spent making sure that American mosques don't have any radical leaders in them, and making sure the children are being sent to mainstream schools instead of traditional Muslim schools? Surely there must be a better way than an all-out ban?
