Putin has no plans to be allied to the US, only to use Trump to get sanctions lifted, while staying allied to China who is a very important trade partner for Russia. ie Trump is being used as a fool.

Go to Eastern Russia... lets see who there tells you "Chinese are awesome". Russians hate them and think they are animals (and frankly there is good cause for this). They have zero respect for Chinese that I have seen and commonly call them "dogs".
Further, China is one of the only countries Russia has a trade deficit with, where China holds over 1 Trillion USD in Treasury Bonds not to mention their dependence on trade with the USA... Russia is just a drop in the economic bucket for them. China can't afford an economic divorce with the USA or even a serious argument... as per usual, just as with the UN Security Council or Taiwan or any other issue, they talk shit and quietly go along with the US because economically, they have to.
Russia can do what they want because no one except shitty, failed nation states and dictatorships depend on them... and their behavior has no real impact on the world economically. No one wants to be paid in Rubles.
