Course not. Why he would want to join a territory with no resources, a full-scale AIDS epidemic and almost 50 millions of poor people who must be fed from the Russian budget? Maybe you can explain me, how he could gain any profit of that? It will be much better if the EU will make a visa free regime for them. That will be a real fun ;)

Who told you they are "pro Russia"? There are many parties involved and most of then want independence from both Russia and the Ukraine. You have a very superficial knowledge about the real situation there.
