Every President goes through this. There is a big difference between saying you are going to do things while campaigning and actually getting them done. Having to make the House and Senate happy is no easy thing.
I think Trump may have a harder time than others. He is not used to being told no. His entire life he has been rich and in charge. When he has made a demand, people fell over themselves to make it happen. That isn't going to be happening now. Trump also seems to badly want people to like him. It isn't enough that he wins, he has to have everyone rejoice in and celebrate the win. He ran a very contentious campaign and now a good portion of the country despises him.
He is going to have to learn to work with others and take no for an answer and he is going to have to accept that he won't make everyone happy and get over it.
