It was actually improved sanitation and nutrition which improved infant mortality rates, if you're malnourished it leaves you vulnerable to common childhood viruses. The immune system already knows what it's doing in a healthy well-nourished person.
Vaccines are known to be causing epidemics of autoimmune disease, they induce auto-antibodies which attack your body for the rest of your life, that makes you incredibly profitable to Big Pharma, that's why vaccines are vital to their business model, they create lifelong customers.
