A vote for Trump was more of an anti-Hilary vote. People were just fed up with the status quo, scandals, corruption...ad nauseum. Trump was far from being the ideal candidate...but at least he represented a different approach.

The democrats will be crying even more in 2018 when they lose even more senate seats. 23 are up for reelection and I believe 10 of them are from states that Trump won. The GOP only has 9 seats up for reelection.

Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
