The drought is over.
We didn't have a "political drought". You could see it every where - everything was brown. California went from being green to being brown.
There was some politics being played in Central California where most of the farmers are located. Water was re-routed to Southern California so folks down there had water, and yet more water was taken away from farmers due to
some action in Congress.
The rain we've had this season has ended the drought, but now we face the flip side of the coin - We cannot handle this water. Here in my hometown streets have been closed for weeks at a time, and in other areas some major roads are closed due to mud slides and roads collapsing. My roof is leaking and took out part of my ceiling; I cannot get the insurance company to even come out and look at it because they are swamped.
