It depends a lot on Trump. Incumbent presidents are hard to beat in general because they are the known quantity. If things are going well it is even more difficult to beat an incumbent. That said, if things go sideways for Trump he would be vulnerable. Right now it looks like those who voted for him love him, and those who didn't despise him. The hatred for him is like I haven't seen in a while. Will that hatred fuel the left enough that they can win in four years? Perhaps.

So, getting to the question, who can beat Trump? If things go badly for him I think someone like Elizabeth Warren could beat him. Cory Booker could have a shot. Bernie could run again, but he would be about 80-years-old by then so I don't know if he would run or if people would embrace him at that age. Amy Klobuchar is a name that is being kicked around. She could appeal to Rust Belt voters and is a rising star in the party. Andrew Cuomo could give him a good run. These are just a few names off the top of my head.
